"Jesus loves me, this I know..." Many of us learned this song in very early childhood. Because music enhances memory so beautifully, it is typical to recall music along with words. Music stays in the soul, even for decades. As I began to regain consciousness six days after my cardiac arrest, I realized that a choral version of the 23rd Psalm was on my mind and continued there for hours. Although I had actually been in the valley of the shadow of death, my unconscious self seemed to know that God was with me.
The opportunity to participate in the traditional music of Broad Street drew Harry and me into this particular congregation. Giving glory to God and feeling his presence as I sing causes a powerful realization that He is IN us all. I'm grateful for the music in all its forms at Broad Street. The music ministry speaks to our hearts, at all ages and in many different ways, encouraging us to make a joyful noise unto the Lord.

Commitment Sunday - November 15th!
Commitment Sunday is November 15th! Our co-chairs for this year's campaign, Nancy Casson, Ed McIntire, Alan Goslen and Michael Estes, did a fantastic job as they kicked off the campaign. During the next few weeks, pay special attention to the personal stories included in the newsletter and church bulletin of how God is touching lives.
We ask you to pray for the success of this campaign and join us this and every Sunday as we celebrate God's love and generosity!
