Barnabas Class...
A class of encouragement (taken from the meaning of the name Barnabas) for all ages of adults. Light- hearted Bible study with deep discussions. This class seeks to encourage one another to grow in their Christian faith. The class meets upstairs in the church library. Fellowship Class...
All ages are welcome. Lessons are biblically based and stimulate open discussion around contemporary issues. The group enjoys fun and fellowship and is mission minded. Group acceptance is guaranteed. Fealty Class...
As the letters of the name indicate, this ladies class is Faithful, Earnest, Altruistic, Loyal, Thankful, and Youthful in their approach to Sunday School. They utilize the Adult Bible Study Series. Kelly Class...
A class made up of men from "middle age to elder age." The enlightenment for this class each week is taken from the Adult Bible Study Series. Everyone enjoys singing some familiar hymns to begin each session. This class meets inside the main entrance next to the garden. Membership Representative: Richard Childress, 476-6346
New Beginnings Class...
A class comprised of parents of preschool and elementary children who are committed to both in-depth biblical studies and contemporary topics. Class interaction is the basis of our makeup. Common Ground. . .
A class for couples and singles with preschool and elementary children. The members of this class are committed to trying to find balance in their busy lives. Their studies will center on foundational Bible studies and topics related to leading a balanced Christian life. This class meets in the gym. (30s, 40s) Membership Representative: Nan Jenne, 473-7797
Pathfinders Class...
A small group discussion class that is seeking to be involved in ongoing Bible study. This class meets upstairs in the Varnell Annex. (40s, 50s) Membership Representative: Donna Parke, 476-4846
Reynolds Class...
A very caring class made up of singles and marrieds with middle-high school to college-aged children. Teachers provide interesting lessons and lead group discussion. Rodgers Class...
A ladies class with ages from middle to mature. These ladies are pursuing the Adult Bible Study series and enjoy the small group setting. This class meets just off the narthex. Membership Representative: Emily Childress, 476-6346
Triplett Class...
A unique blend of personalities - each contributing greatly to the lessons which are led by two very capable teachers. This class is a warm, outgoing group who delve into all the areas of Christianity (Bible study and social issues) and share their congeniality with all. This class meets in the Parlor. Varnell~Day Class...
A class with round table discussion with all ages, singles and couples. Studies show there are thousands of unchurched people in Bradley County so the class is learning how to be more effective in verbal witnessing. Come join us if you would like to be more bold in your witness for Christ. This class meets downstairs in the Varnell Annex. Wesley Class...
A class composed of persons, pairs, and spares, who are in the 65+ age group. This class utilizes the Adult Bible Study series and Faith Link, which is a Bible study on current topics and happenings in our world. This class enjoys getting to know one another through their "Quadra-couple" supper program and other socials. This class meets downstairs in the Varnell Annex. Other short-term classes are offered during the Sunday School hour at different times of the year. These usually last between 6-8 weeks and are announced in the newsletter and bulletin. For more information on short-term classes, contact David or Mary Ketchersid at 476-5586.

College

Youth
Our Senior High Class is for youth in 9th - 12th grades. Focused on guided discussion, we use a variety of formats including videos, activities, and hot topic current events.
Middle School Class is for 7th and 8th graders. The 6th graders join this class upon completion of Confirmation in February each year. This class focuses on activity-based lessons and illustrations to teach biblical principles and Christian beliefs.

At Broad Street UMC, we have classes for all children from birth to 6th grade on Sundays at 9:30 am.
