“But just as you excel in everything in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us see that you also excel in this grace of giving.”

AUTOMATED FAITHFUL GIVING

Automated Faithful Giving is an automated giving program to help you conveniently and consistently contribute to Broad Street United Methodist Church. For more information, contact Jeannette Dalton, Business Administrator, or Bob Brazier, Operations Manager, at 423-476-5586.

What is Automated Faithful Giving?

Through Automated Faithful Giving, your contributions are made through free pre-authorized withdrawals from your bank account once a month. Your gift is deposited into Broad Street United Methodist Church’s bank account on the same day it is withdrawn from your account. This will be done between the 10th and 15th of the month.

What are the benefits of the Automated Faithful Giving program?

Automated Faithful Giving is a reliable, safe way to conveniently put your stewardship plan into action. Because your gift is given consistently, there’s no need to play “catch-up” at year-end or worry about forgotten checkbooks or missed Sunday offerings. You are not the only one that benefits. Broad Street United Methodist Church benefits from steady, more predictable revenues throughout the year, more efficient bookkeeping, and greater confidence in meeting its financial commitments so the mission and ministry of the church can be better planned.

What do I need to do to participate in the Automated Faithful Giving program?

Complete an Authorization Form, attach a voided check from your checking or savings account, and mail or bring the form to the church office.

How much do I have to give?

There are no minimum or maximum amounts you may contribute as part of the Automated Faithful Giving program.

Is Automated Faithful Giving safe?

Yes, Automated Faithful Giving utilizes the banking system’s Automated Clearing House network (ACH), the same network that is used for direct deposit and automated bill payment. Automated funds transfer is governed by strict national rules set by the ACH network and governed by regulations of the Federal Reserve.

If I don’t write checks, how do I keep my account balance straight?

All contributions will be clearly listed on the monthly checking or savings account statement you receive from your financial institution. Also, your contribution is made on a pre-established day, so you can deduct it from your check record then. You will also continue to receive a contribution statement from the church.

How do I participate in the weekly offering if my gift is automatically deducted from my account?

You may always give during worship. Participating in the Automated Faithful Giving program does not limit your giving.

What if I change my bank account or want to change the amount of my contribution?

Complete a new Authorization Form to document a change in your bank account or the amount of your contribution. When you complete your annual pledge card, it automatically serves as a change in the amount of your contribution.

Can I stop my participation in the Automated Faithful Giving program?

You may stop your participation in the program at any time by contacting the Business Administrator, Jeannette Dalton, at 423-476-5586.

Is there any charge to me by my financial institution to have my givings withdrawn from my account?

No. ACH/Automated funds transfers result in no fees to you.
